Hail!

Hi everyone!  Did you see yesterday’s hail?  First it was like normal rain.  Then it came down faster and harder.  It started pelting the windows with tiny hard ice stuff.  I have heard, seen, and even felt hail before…but not like this.  This was a LOT of hail.  I looked out the window with my Mom and we couldn’t even see across the street.  It pounded every window and we could even hear it through the roof.  When it stopped it looked like it had snowed!!!  I love the snow.  This wasn’t as much fun as snow but it was still pretty neat.  My mom went outside to take pictures.  She got pictures of the roof covered with ice.  The ice on the grass started melting pretty fast but my daddy came home in time to make some ice balls with it and throw them for me to try to catch.  It was fun!  I got to eat some too.  The ice was bigger than a pea.  More like the size of a raisin and very cold and yummy.  My Dad was across town when it happened and he said it didn’t hail like that there.  All the people and dogs over there missed out.  My brother missed out too.  He can’t play yet.  He still has to be very careful with his leg for the next few months.  The fake nylon ligament they put in his knee to replace his old one could break if he slips, runs, or jumps.  I know all about it after listening to my mom and dad.  It makes things less fun around here but I am trying to keep him company so he won’t be lonely.  I am just glad for a fun hail event to liven things up around here.  We don’t get hail that large very often in Eureka!
